Description
Lenticular Clouds
The purple iridescence is particularly elegant on these clouds.
I love lenticular clouds, but we don't get them frequently around here. I've noticed that the month of March seems conducive to their formation in this area. So on this day I chased them for as long as they lasted.
I had to be quick, though. In the blink of an eye, they changed shape and floated along, dissipating as they morphed.

Wonderful image Julie. At first I thought this was snow in blue shadows. F&L!!!
Julie Weber replied:
Thanks much, Bill. It was an unusual sighting and fleeting moment disappearing in a few moments.
