Description
The lovely movement of the leaf and leaf-like bracts of a Cut-leaved Lime (Tilia platyphyllos 'Laciniata') Linden tree is seen here being blown by a late Spring breeze.
Aka Bigleaf Linden,Broad-leaved Lime,Largeleaf Linden,Large Leaved Lime,Large Leaved Linden.
The flower bud clusters (not visible here) are just like on all Linden (Basswood/Tilia) trees, but the leaves are different. They are very captivating, serrated leaves.
I love standing inside the canopy of this Linden tree, or any tree, watching the light play around and through the shapes. Even more delightful when there is a breeze moving it all around. Many of my photographs come from these mesmerizing moments.
