A farmer has begun mowing this beautiful farm field that has turned amber colored as the hay matures. The field is framed by the luscious mid-summer greens of the surrounding grasses, cattails and distant trees all resting in that lovely scene under the truest of blue skies.
I keep feeling the scenes that were painted a century or more ago with soft edges and smudgy colors, lending an impression of, rather than defining the different areas of color and shape or rather than realistically reproducing the details.
