The sunflower is always abundantly interesting and beautiful no matter what phase it is in. Aging does not deter from its beauty. The combination of sunflower petals and late afternoon sun creates the deepest yellow-gold, so lush and deep it often seems unreal when seen in a photograph. It's real.
